Hello,
I have an aging system running Windows 7 Ultimate in RAID on a nVidia nForce 780a SLI chipset.
May 29, 2016 Hi, I have an older HP Pavilion laptop with a Nvidia GeForce 7150M / nForce 630M graphics card. On the Nvidia pages I get the following message when trying to find Windows 10 drivers. Mar 13, 2012 This is the second WHQL-certified driver from the R295 family of drivers (versions 295.xx to 299.xx). This driver is a recommended upgrade for all GeForce users, especially those playing the latest hot PC games like Battlefield 3, Blacklight: Retribution, Diablo III, Mass Effect 3, or The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and more.
Can anyone tell me how to find out if there is a chipset driver available in Windows update for this chipset?
- Download the latest GeForce drivers to enhance your pc gaming experience and run apps faster. Automatically scan your PC or search the driver database for compatible GPU drivers.
- Download drivers for NVIDIA products including GeForce graphics cards, nForce motherboards, Quadro workstations, and more. Update your graphics card drivers today.
I don't want to do the upgrade and find out that I'm being forced to do a clean installation back to Windows 7 again.
Explanation:
During the previous upgrade Windows 10 was running without the system being able to access the HDD's. I could see and access the C-drive, but when ever I opened system hardware properties, the system showed no RAID configuration or physical drives.
During the previous upgrade Windows 10 was running without the system being able to access the HDD's. I could see and access the C-drive, but when ever I opened system hardware properties, the system showed no RAID configuration or physical drives.
This also resulted in many BSOD's as the HDD's were unknown and thus unavailable to Windows 10. Making Windows react as if I suddenly pulled the HDD from the system.
Both Asus (mainboard is a M3N-HT Deluxe) and nVidia tell me the system is unsupported for Windows 10, but I keep getting the update forced to me to upgrade to Windows 10. With Microsoft telling me the system is supported.
I'd like to note that the GPU version (as there is also a GeForce 780 graphics card) is supported, but not part of my investigation.
My system holds a single EVGA GTX570HD-SC.

Hi All,
I am able to upgrade my HP Pavillion tx 1000 series Laptop with 'NVIDIA GeForce Go 6150' Graphic card from Windows 7 to Windows 10 OS .
Initially when I tried to upgrade from Windows 7 to Windows 10, I clicked on the GetW10 icon to 'Reserve your W10 free upgrade' the upgrade stopped due to Incompatible graphic card 'NVIDIA GeForce Go 6150' drivers.
I have used Windows 'System Restore' to earlier date. Again installed Windows7 updates and created new 'restore point' before installing 'KB3035583 update' in list of available MS windows updates for windows7.
Step 1: First Install windows 10 and later install NVIDIA Graphic card driver as in step 2 (or you may give a try to do step 2 and later do step 1).
Note : Uninstall all the NVIDIA graphic drivers from laptop and restart PC. Before that disable auto install hardware drivers through windows update and enable 'Never install driver software from Windows Update'. Then click on Save Changes.
Your laptop screen need to work at low resolution and you will see 'Microsoft Basic Video Driver' in Device Manger > Display Adapters > .
After creating new 'restore point' install 'KB3035583 update' in list of updates for windows7. Later use 'GetW10' icon to 'Reserve and upgrade to W10'
Step 2: Install NVIDIA Graphic card driver
Download '309.08-desktop-win8-win7-winvista-64bit-international-whql' from below URL.
