- Clean Install Windows 7 No Device Drivers Were Found
Hey,
My dads laptop had a virus, we installed a new fresh version of windows 7, now that is done I quickly realise that I can't access the internet due to there being no drivers installed. The wireless drivers and every other internet driver is not installed.
Im basically stumped and don't know what to do.
I don't even know what drivers to download (on to my pc and transfer them over via USB stick) because I don't know what networking card the laptop has.
Any suggestions or solutions are greatly needed. Thanks in advance great people of TH!!!!

Fresh Install Windows 7 No Drivers
Technically they're not missing. Whenever doing a clean install (the best option) you still have
to install drivers for the motherboard, dedicated graphics card (when there is one), and peripherals such as printers and keyboards with profiling options.
Get the motherboard drivers from Toshiba's web site. The drivers in your list are commonly
called the chipset drivers as they are all functions of the motherboards chipset ( Notrh Bridge
and South Bridge).
There should also be drivers for the cpu and it's Intel HD Integrated Graphics . Windows does
install a generic VGA graphics driver, but you need the Intel drivers for full functionality of the
HD Integrated Graphics.
While you're at it Install all the Windows Updates. Setup the Windows Updates option so it
does not download and install automatically so you can install them is small batches. There is
less likelihood of corrupted updates if you do it this way. You should not need most of the optional
updates .
Also Update DirectX -
Download details: DirectX End-User Runtime

Clean Install Windows 7 64-bit
- Windows 7: Clean install / no drivers You can check which drivers to install by checking the vendor and device numbers for each of your devices. First, get your network adapter working, so that you can then download the drivers for everything else from that same computer. I'll explain how to get the drivers for your network adapter.
- Start fresh with a clean installation of Windows 10 Use this tool to install a clean copy of the latest version of Windows 10 Home or Windows 10 Pro, and remove apps that you installed or came pre-installed on your PC.
- I'm trying to completely wipe my laptop's HDD and fresh install Windows 7 from a USB drive in preparation to sell this particular laptop. I've created the bootable USB and booted into the Windows.
